Rockvale High School
Rockvale High School is a public high school in Rockvale, Tennessee, near Murfreesboro in Rutherford County. It opened in 2019 and is part of Rutherford County Schools. The campus sits on State Route 99 (New Salem Highway). The school’s construction cost was about $59 million, with the contract signed in February 2017. It is named after the old Rockvale Community Consolidated School (1927–1993). The Rockets are the nickname, and the colors are royal blue, white, and grey. The principal is Steve Luker. Rockvale High serves grades 9–12, with about 2,178 students and a student-teacher ratio of 16.7 to 1. There are around 130 full-time teaching staff. The school competes in the TSSAA for athletics.
Academics: The Tennessee State Report Card shows an average ACT score of about 18.7, which is below state and district averages.
Notable achievements: In 2019–2020, the girls’ swim team won the MTHSSA Division III-B championship. In football, the team won its first game in 2020 against Franklin County High School.
