Yaar Bina

Yaar Bina (Urdu: یار بنا, meaning "without a friend") is a song by the Pakistani Sufi rock band Junoon. It was released in 1997 as part of their fourth album Azadi, which came out on EMI Pakistan and Sadaf Stereo.

Written by Salman Ahmad and Sabir Zafar, Yaar Bina was one of the lead singles from Azadi, alongside Sayonee. The song blends rock guitars and bluesy vocals with eastern elements such as tablas, raga-inspired melodies, and traditional Pakistani folk music.

- The single topped charts across South Asia, including Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh.
- Junoon won Best International Group at the Channel V Music Awards and performed with Sting, The Prodigy, and Def Leppard.
- Azadi was nominated for Best International Album and stood as the top-selling album in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India that year.
