Xi County (Xixian; 息县) is a county in the southeast of Henan province, China. It is the northernmost county-level division of the city of Xinyang. The county covers 1,836 square kilometers (709 square miles) and had about 749,400 people in 2019, with a population density of around 408 people per square kilometer (1,057 per square mile). The main local dialect is Zhongyuan Mandarin. The postal code is 464300. Xi County is divided into 6 towns and 14 townships (as of 2012).
