Company history and growth
- Alamos Gold was formed in 2003 from the merger of Alamos Minerals and National Gold. Its founding asset was the Mulatos mine in Sonora, which began production after building the mine in the mid-2000s.
- In 2010, Alamos grew by buying the Ağı Dağı and Kirazlı projects from Teck Resources and Fronteer Development Group for about US$90 million.
