XXXX Gold is a mid-strength Australian lager with 3.5% alcohol. It was launched in 1991 and is produced in Queensland by Castlemaine Perkins as part of the XXXX brand (it is also brewed at Boag’s Brewery in Launceston, Tasmania). It’s marketed as a lower-carb option and remains one of Australia’s most popular beers.

The brand supports sport, including cricket in Queensland and nearby states, with sponsorships for the Queensland Bulls and several state cricket associations (Queensland, South Australia, Australian Capital Territory and Northern Territory). It has previously sponsored the Australian V8 Supercars Championship (2008–2011) and the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Australia, and since 2017 it has sponsored the Brisbane Lions (shorts sponsorship in 2017–2018).

In market history, XXXX Gold briefly overtook Victoria Bitter to become the top-selling beer in Australia in 2012, before VB regained the lead in 2013.

In 2012 the company leased part of Pumpkin Island to create XXXX Island for advertising and events. XXXX Gold also backed the XXXX Gold Beach Cricket Tri-Nations series, featuring players from Australia, England and the West Indies.
