Wustrow (Fischland)
Wustrow is a small town on the Fischland peninsula in northern Germany. It is in the Vorpommern-Rügen district of the state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is part of the Darß/Fischland municipal association.
The town covers 6.88 square kilometers and sits about 2 meters above sea level. As of December 31, 2023, about 1,090 people live in Wustrow. The mayor is Daniel Schimmelpfennig (independent). The postal code is 18347, the telephone area code is 038220, and cars from here have the NVP license plate. The Beach of Wustrow is a notable local feature.
Wustrow is also known for hosting the first industrial wind turbine in the area, a Vestas V25-200 kW turbine with a nacelle height of 28.5 meters and a rotor diameter of 25 meters.
