World Union of Karate Do Federations
World Union of Karate Do Federations (WUKF) is the international governing body for sport karate. It has 85 member countries and is headquartered in Herstal, Belgium, under the supervision of the Belgian Ministry of Justice and the Belgian Royal House. WUKF holds karate events every year in member countries. The federation was founded in 2005, replacing the older WUKO federation. In 2009 a scheduled congress was planned to discuss important decisions for its work. Most former WUKO affiliates joined WUKF, with a few exceptions. The official website is www.wukf-karate.org.
