The World Diamond Congress is a major industry event held every two years. It is organized by the World Federation of Diamond Bourses and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association. The first Congress was held in Antwerp, Belgium in 1947. It ran annually until 1956, and since then has been held every two years. Each year between Congresses, the two organizations hold a Presidents’ Meeting. The 36th Congress took place in 2014 in Antwerp. The 37th Congress was planned for Dubai in May 2016.
