Women's Light-Contact at WAKO World Championships 2007 Belgrade -55 kg
At the 2007 WAKO World Championships in Belgrade, the women’s 55 kg Light-Contact division was the lightest female LC category. Fourteen European competitors fought under Light-Contact rules, with each match lasting three rounds of two minutes. Because the bracket needed 16 fighters, two entrants received byes into the quarter-finals. Maria Kushtanova of Russia won the title after her final opponent, Monika Molnar of Hungary, had to retire due to injury. Bronze medals went to semi-finalists Petra Battig of Switzerland and Kateryna Solovey of Ukraine.
