Women's Futsal World Tournament
Women's Futsal World Tournament was an international competition for women's national futsal teams, organized by national associations. It began in 2010 in Spain, with Brazil winning the first edition. Brazil won every edition of the tournament, and the last one in 2015 had eight participating teams; Brazil earned their sixth title. The event was supported by the Japan Football Association, the Iranian Football Federation, and FEDEFUT. In 2022, FIFA announced a new FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup, with the first edition planned for 2025. Ranking followed standard football rules: 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss; matches decided in extra time counted as wins or losses, while matches decided by penalties counted as draws. Teams were ranked by points, then goal difference, then goals scored.
