William Julien Courtauld Hospital was a general hospital on London Road in Braintree, Essex, England. It was run by the Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust. The hospital began in 1871 as the Braintree and Bocking Cottage Hospital, founded by Mrs George Courtauld, and opened on Halstead Road in Bocking. In 1921 a new building on London Road was funded by Sir William Julien Courtauld, and the hospital moved there. It was renamed William Julien Courtauld Hospital in 1931. It joined the National Health Service in 1948. In 2010, after services were moved to Broomfield Hospital, William Julien Courtauld Hospital closed. The buildings were demolished and the site has been redeveloped for housing.
