William I. Hitchcock
William I. Hitchcock is an American historian and the William W. Corcoran Professor of History at the University of Virginia. His research focuses on twentieth-century history. He earned his bachelor's degree from Kenyon College in 1986 and his Ph.D. from Yale University in 1994. He is married to Elizabeth R. Varon, and they have two children.
