Weekend Today (Australian TV program)
Weekend Today is an Australian weekend breakfast TV show on the Nine Network. It airs live from 7:00 am to 10:00 am on Saturdays and Sundays, right after children’s programs, from Nine’s studios in North Sydney, New South Wales.
The program started on 1 February 2009 as Today on Sunday. A Saturday edition followed soon after, and the two editions were later renamed Weekend Today. In September 2012 the Saturday edition was extended to three hours.
Weekend Today covers news, weather, sport and entertainment, with a team of presenters and reporters from Nine News. The hosting lineup has changed many times over the years, with names such as Deborah Knight, Karl Stefanovic, Allison Langdon, Jayne Azzopardi, Clint Stanaway, Sophie Walsh and Lizzie Pearl among the many presenters to have appeared. In early 2025, Alison Piotrowski was appointed as Weekend Today host after temporarily filling the role.
