Wayanad Chetti language
Wayanad Chetti, also called Chetti, is a Southern Dravidian language spoken by the Wayanadan Chetti community in the Wayanad district of Kerala, India. About 5,000 people spoke it in 2004. It belongs to the Dravidian language family, in the Southern branch that includes Tamil and Malayalam, and is written in the Tamil script. Its ISO code is ctt and Glottolog code is waya1264.
The language shares about 62–76% of its vocabulary with Gowder, 65% with Jen Kurumba, and 52% with Kannada, with Kannada being the closest major language. Wayanad Chetti is also very similar to Badaga.
