Washermanpet railway station is in Washermanpet, a neighborhood of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It serves Washermanpet, Korukkupet and Tondiarpet and is part of the Chennai Suburban Railway network on the Chennai Beach–Gummidipoondi and Chennai Beach–Arakkonam routes. The station sits at the eastern end of Chennai’s diamond-shaped suburban junction, where all suburban lines meet. It has 2 platforms and 4 tracks, is on the ground, and there is parking available. The station is about 9 meters above sea level.

Electrification at Washermanpet began on 9 August 1979 (Chennai Beach–Basin Bridge section), and the Royapuram–Korukkupet section was electrified on 26 September 1987.

Nearby hospitals include Stanley Hospital and RSRM Hospital. The station currently lacks several basic passenger amenities, and there have been calls for a computerized railway reservation counter.

Washermanpet is also a station on the Chennai Metro Rail project, which is under construction. It is connected to Blue Line buses at Washermanpet MTC (Vallalar Nagar Mint bus terminus). The station code is WST and it falls under Southern Railways, Indian Railways.
