Mgeni Jadi Kadika
Mgeni Jadi Kadika (born 1957) is a Tanzanian politician who has served as a member of parliament. She trained in Pandani, Pemba North, and left secondary school in 1976. From 1977 to 1980 she worked for the Zanzibar Ministry of Trade, and from 1980 to 1988 she was a manager at a cooperative shop. Kadika joined Tanzania's National Assembly in 2005 as a Special Seats MP for the Civic United Front (CUF) and kept her seat in the 2010 and 2015 elections. In May 2016 she asked whether the government would provide public education and research on uterine fibroid disease. In April 2020 she spoke about the rising kidney disease problem in Tanzania and asked Health Minister Ummy Mwalimu to release regional statistics. In May 2020 she asked what the government was doing beyond border screening to protect people from COVID-19. In June 2020 she defected from CUF to join ACT-Wazalendo, along with 20 other MPs.
