Walter Burckhardt
Walter Burckhardt (1905–1971) was a Swiss dermatologist known for his work on work-related skin diseases. In the 1930s he led Zurich’s City Department for Skin and Venereal Diseases, taking over from Max Tièche. He became a university lecturer in 1938 and a professor in 1947 at the University of Zurich.
