Kadavallur
Kadavallur is a village in the northern part of Thrissur district, Kerala, India. It lies near the border with Malappuram district and is close to Palakkad district. It is about 35 km northwest of Thrissur city, 10 km north of Kunnamkulam, 5 km south of Changaramkulam, 4 km southwest of Chalissery, and 14 km southwest of Pattambi.
The village has an ancient temple dedicated to Sri Rama, which hosts the yearly Anyonyam Vedic contest, an important event in the Namboothiri tradition. The Vishnu temple at Kadavallur features a Srikoil with 29 wooden bracket figures on its outer wall and other notable artworks; this shrine is a protected monument of the Archaeological Survey of India.
The local languages are Malayalam and English, and the time zone is Indian Standard Time (UTC+5:30).
