Volčje, Brežice
Volčje is a small village in the hills north of Brežice in eastern Slovenia. It is part of the Municipality of Brežice, in the traditional region of Styria and the Lower Sava Statistical Region. The village covers 3.14 square kilometers, sits at about 283 meters above sea level, and has around 99 residents (2024), about 32 people per square kilometer. On 1 July 1936, the southern boundary was adjusted, and 7 houses (28 people) were moved to the neighboring village of Artiče. There is a small church in Volčje dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk.
