VIII Queen Elisabeth Music Competition
The eighth Queen Elisabeth Music Competition was held in 1957. It was the second edition focused on composition and introduced a two-category format. Polish composer Michał Spisak, who had won the first edition, defended his title in the chamber orchestra category.
