United Nations Security Council Resolution 613
United Nations Security Council Resolution 613, adopted unanimously on 31 May 1988, concerns the Israel–Syria situation on the Golan Heights. After reviewing a report on the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), the Council emphasized its goal of a durable peace in the Middle East and expressed concern about ongoing tensions. It urged the parties to immediately implement Resolution 338 (1973), renewed UNDOF’s mandate for six months until 30 November 1988, and asked the Secretary-General to report back on the situation at the end of that period.
