Ultadanga (Ulta Danga) is a busy neighbourhood in North Kolkata, West Bengal. It’s a major transport junction and a thriving commercial hub with markets, banks, offices, shops, and restaurants.

Location and history
- Located in Kolkata district near Shyambazar, Shobhabazar and Maniktala.
- The name means “the land on the opposite bank.” It was part of the Dihi Panchannagram villages bought by the East India Company in the 18th century.

Transport and landmarks
- Hudco More is the main crossroads where Ultadanga Main Road, VIP Road, CIT Road and Bagmari Road meet.
- EM Bypass runs nearby.
- Tram route 18 serves Ultadanga.
- The Ultadanga Flyover, opened in 2011, connects EM Bypass with VIP Road.
