UTC@harbourside was a University Technical College in Newhaven, East Sussex, England for students aged 14 to 18. It opened in September 2015 and closed in July 2019 due to financial problems and a lack of students. The college specialised in science, technology, engineering and maths, offering GCSEs, A-Levels and BTECs, along with diplomas in electrical installation and plumbing. Its campus was at Railway Quay, Newhaven. Sponsors included the University of Brighton, Veolia, Aldridge Education, and Lewes District Council. Students came from Newhaven and across Sussex, and local employers helped shape real‑world projects in the curriculum. Ofsted inspected the college in 2018 and rated it Inadequate, with a recommendation for Special Measures. Adult education courses were also offered.
