Colombier, Loire
Colombier is a small rural commune in the Loire department of central France, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It covers about 118 square kilometers and has 294 residents (2023). The area has a low population density of about 16.5 people per square kilometer.
The landscape is mountainous, with elevations ranging from 649 to 1,429 meters above sea level (average around 818 meters). Colombier is part of the Saint-Étienne arrondissement and the Le Pilat canton, and it belongs to the Monts du Pilat intercommunal area.
