Troublesome Creek (Missouri)
Troublesome Creek is a small stream in northeastern Missouri that runs through Knox, Lewis and Marion counties. It feeds the South Fabius River. The headwaters start near Edina in Knox County, just north of Route 15, and it flows southeast. It crosses Route 6 east of Edina, passes south of Knox City, and enters Lewis County south of La Belle. It crosses Route 156 northeast of Steffenville and then moves into Marion County northeast of Nelsonville, passing south of Naomi before joining the South Fabius River south of Hester. The creek got its name from its frequent flash floods.
