Bobby Wishart
Bobby Wishart (10 March 1933 – 3 December 2020) was a Scottish footballer who played as an inside forward. He was born in Edinburgh and started his career with Merchiston Thistle before turning professional.
Wishart spent most of his career with Aberdeen, from 1953 to 1961, making 177 league appearances and scoring 45 goals. He helped Aberdeen win the Scottish league championship in 1955. He then moved to Dundee, where he played from 1961 to 1964, making 76 appearances and scoring 11 goals, and he won the league again in 1962.
Later, he had brief spells with Airdrieonians (1964–65, 6 appearances) and Raith Rovers (1965, 9 appearances), bringing his total to 268 league appearances and 59 goals.
Internationally, Wishart played for Scotland U23 (2 caps) and represented the Scottish League XI (2 appearances, 1 goal) in 1955.
Bobby Wishart died on 3 December 2020 at the age of 87.
