Trosia rufa

Trosia rufa is a moth in the Megalopygidae family. It was described in 1912 by E. Dukinfield Jones and it is found in Brazil. The wingspan is about 28 millimeters. The forewings are red-brown and lightly scaled, with a diffuse dark band behind the middle that is wide beyond the wing’s central area and breaks into three spots near the inner edge. The hindwings are bright brick red.
