Trecothick was a British ship launched on the Thames in 1773, possibly under another name. She was acquired in 1784 and renamed Trecothick. She was about 250 tons burthen. She first appeared as Trecothick in Lloyd’s Register in 1784.

On 4 January 1786, Trecothick was wrecked near Looe, Cornwall, with only four crew members surviving. She had been sailing from London to Grenada. Some reports say Captain Elder and 12 crew drowned when a violent gale drove the ship onto rocks. Lloyd’s Register for 1786 lists her as Lost.
