Treasure Master
Treasure Master is a platform game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It was developed by Software Creations and published by ASC Games in December 1991 as part of an MTV contest. After release, players had until 12 PM EST on April 11, 1992 to practice beating the game. MTV revealed a secret password then. If players entered the password along with the game’s serial number before starting, they unlocked a secret sixth Prize World level. After completing that, players had until midnight to finish the entire game, including the Prize World. This led to the game revealing a 24-character code: 3HDJL9DNQV2WYTV4S91RXR86. By calling a special hotline with this code, players could win one of 36,252 prizes. The music was composed by Tim Follin, and the title screen music is a remix of the Starsky & Hutch theme.
