Transfiguration Cathedral, Novosibirsk
Transfiguration Cathedral, also known as Sobor Preobrazheniya Gospodnya, is the main Roman Catholic church in Novosibirsk, Russia and the center of the Diocese of the Transfiguration. Construction ran from 1992 to 1997, designed in a modern style by architect Vladimir Borodin. The first stage was finished in 1993. The cathedral was consecrated on August 10, 1997, in a ceremony attended by the Apostolic Nuncio to Russia, John Bukovsky, and Bishop Joseph Werth. It offers Mass in Russian and Polish and is located on Maxim Gorky Street.
