Toshiba Brave Lupus Tokyo
Toshiba Brave Lupus Tokyo is a Japanese rugby union team in Japan Rugby League One. They are based in Fuchu, Tokyo, and their local rival is Suntory Sungoliath. They play at Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium (27,188 capacity) and Ajinomoto Stadium (49,970 capacity). The team is coached by Todd Blackadder and captained by Michael Leitch. They won the Top League in 2004-05 and the Microsoft Cup in 2005. They are well known for their strong mauls. Before the Top League started, they were called Toshiba Fuchu. In 2006 their slogan was "Once again to the Pinnacle (Restart)". The team rebranded as Toshiba Brave Lupus Tokyo ahead of the 2022 change from the Top League to Japan Rugby League One. The name Lupus comes from the Latin word for wolf. For the 2025-26 season, the squad includes players in every position on the field.
