Tom Herck, born in 1984 in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, is a Belgian artist who works in many disciplines. He lives in Ordingen. His art is inspired by underground football culture, illegal graffiti, and travels around the world. He uses his work to challenge social norms and explore big questions about life and society.

Herck’s themes include vanity, history, religion, extinction, evolution, and how history repeats itself. His personal experiences, family background, and exposure to outsider cultures help shape his pieces and invite conversations across cultures. Religion, especially Christianity, is central to his art. His public installations, often large in scale, have sparked conversation and controversy. One notable piece from 2016, The Decline, drew protests and some arrests.

Recently, his projects have taken him abroad, including a Eurovision-themed sailing installation in London and a large installation called The Wall at Burning Man in Nevada, USA.
