Ampasikely
Ampasikely is a town and commune in Madagascar. It is part of the Ambatondrazaka district in the Alaotra-Mangoro region. The town sits about 782 meters above sea level. In 2012, about 6,995 people lived there. It became a village in 1975. Ampasikely is bordered by Ambohimandroso to the north, Ambodifarihy to the south, Ambatomainty and Mahakary to the east, and Ampandriatsara and Amparihimaina to the west. The area relies on farming, with about 70% of residents growing rice. About 85% of people are Christians, there are four churches in town, and 15% follow traditional beliefs.
