Tokachi Tsuchiya (土屋トカチ) is a Japanese filmmaker born in Kyoto in 1973. He began studying cinema in 1997. His debut feature, A Normal Life, Please, follows a cement truck driver and reveals the brutal conditions he faces at work, including extremely long hours and safety violations. The film won several awards, including Best Documentary at the 2009 Raindance Film Festival in London and first prize in the Documentaries category at the 6th Dubai International Film Festival (Muhr Asia Africa Awards).
