Chissay-en-Touraine
Chissay-en-Touraine is a small town in central France. It is a commune in the Loir-et-C Cher department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region. The area covers about 118 square kilometers and has around 1,100 residents (2023). The population density is about 61 people per square kilometer. Elevation ranges from 55 to 138 meters above sea level.
The town is in the Romorantin-Lanthenay arrondissement and the Montrichard Val de Cher canton. It belongs to the Val-de-Cher-Controis intercommunal group. The postal code is 41400 and the INSEE code is 41051. The mayor for 2020–2026 is Philippe Plassais.
The name means “Chissay in Touraine.” A local landmark is the Château de La Ménaudière.
