Tissemsilt Province
Tissemsilt Province (Arabic: ولاية تسمسيلت) is the 38th province of Algeria, located in the north-central part of the country. Its capital is the city of Tissemsilt. The province covers 3,152 square kilometers and had about 296,000 residents in 2008, with a population density of around 94 people per square kilometer. Théniet El Haâd National Park is located here. Tissemsilt was created in 1984 from parts of Alger and Tiaret provinces. The province is divided into 8 districts (daïras) and 22 municipalities (communes). It is in the CET time zone (UTC+01). The area code is +213 0 46 and the ISO code is DZ-38.
