Timothy Township is a small rural area in Crow Wing County, Minnesota. It covers 35.6 square miles in total, with 34.1 square miles of land and 1.5 square miles of water. The elevation is about 1,407 feet. As of 2000, 147 people lived there, giving a population density of roughly 4.3 people per square mile. The township may be named after Timothy-grass.

There were 61 households and 43 families. The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 2.95. About 29.5% of households had children under 18; 63.9% were married couples; 29.5% were non-families; 27.9% were individuals, and 13.1% had someone living alone who was 65 or older. The population spread was 24.5% under 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 25.9% from 25 to 44, 30.6% from 45 to 64, and 12.9% 65 or older. The median age was 39.

Racial makeup was about 99% White and 0.7% Asian. The median household income was $37,273, and the median family income was $44,375. Males earned a median of $29,750 versus $19,167 for females. The per capita income was $36,103. About 4.1% of families and 9.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 18.9% of those under 18 and 7.7% of those 65 or older.
