Remi Allen
Remi Lee Allen (born 15 October 1990 in Leicester) is an English football coach and former player. She is currently the assistant coach at Crystal Palace and has been head coach of London City Lionesses and Southampton in recent years.
As a player, Allen was a midfielder who spent time at several clubs, including Leicester City, Leeds Carnegie, Notts County/Lincoln Ladies, Birmingham City, Reading, Leicester City again, Aston Villa and Birmingham City again. She captained Aston Villa in 2021-22 and joined England’s youth teams (U19 and U23), earning a senior England call-up in 2014. She also ruptured an ACL while playing for England at age 18.
In her coaching career, Allen joined London City Lionesses as head coach in March 2024, where she led the team to a strong run and earned Manager of the Month for March 2024 before leaving at the end of the season. She then became head coach of Southampton in July 2024, departing in February 2025 by mutual consent. In July 2025 she was announced as the assistant coach at Crystal Palace, working with Jo Potter. She also served as an assistant coach for England’s under-23s during the 2023-24 period.
Personal life: Allen is color blind and married Carly Davies on 13 June 2024 in Spain.
