Thorleif Lintrup Paus (6 January 1912 – 28 November 2006) was a Norwegian lawyer and diplomat. He was born in Rjukan and finished law school in 1937, then worked as a judge before joining the diplomatic service after World War II. He served in the Foreign Ministry as bureau chief and held posts abroad including first secretary at the Norwegian embassy in Washington, D.C. and at the mission in Bern, plus counselor at the embassies in London and Rome. From 1962 he was consul general in Singapore. He was named ambassador to Iran in 1965, to Brazil in 1969, and later served as ambassador to Mexico until retiring in 1980.
