The Whole World's Dancing is the sixth studio album by the Trammps. It was released on February 14, 1979, by Atlantic Records. The record was made at Sigma Sound Studio in Philadelphia and Total Experience in Hollywood. It lasts 38 minutes and 18 seconds and features disco and soul music. The album was produced by Norman Harris, Bruce Gray, Ron Baker, and Ron "Have Mercy" Kersey. It reached No. 184 on the Billboard 200 chart. The single "Soul Bones" peaked at No. 91 on the Hot Soul Singles chart. The New York Times said their approach to the Ramones came off as overly simple, noting they weren’t trying to be funny or arty.
