Cromore (Scottish Gaelic: Crò Mòr) is a crofting township on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. It lies in the parish of Lochs and the district of Pairc. Cromore is about 27 miles by road from Stornoway, the nearest town. It is an active crofting community close to one of Scotland’s National Scenic Areas, so its wild, unspoiled beauty attracts visitors. Some former croft houses are now holiday cottages. Notable people from Cromore include actor and writer Kenny Boyle and Coinneach MacLeod, The Hebridean Baker.
