The Tin Pan Alley Rag is a 2009 biographical musical by The Roundabout Theatre Company. Set in 1915 in New York City’s Tin Pan Alley, it follows Irving Berlin and Scott Joplin and their careers, centered on a fictional meeting between the two composers. The show was written by Mark Saltzman and directed by Stafford Arima, and the original language is English. It premiered in the United Kingdom on December 27, 2009. In the New York version, Irving Berlin was played by Michael Therriault and Scott Joplin by Michael Boatman. Other characters include Willie, Rev. Alexander, Dorothy Goetz, Monisha, Jimmy Kelly, Mooney Mulligan, Teddy Snyder, Mr. Payton, Sophie and Freddie Alexander.
