The Perfect Crime No. 2
The Perfect Crime #2 is a song by The Decemberists from their fourth album, The Crane Wife. It was released September 26, 2007 as the album’s second single, following O Valencia!. The track is 5:33 long, an indie rock song released on Capitol Records, and was written by Colin Meloy and The Decemberists. It is a sequel to The Perfect Crime #1, which did not appear on The Crane Wife and was later released as a bonus track. This was the first time the band released more than one single from an album. It was issued as a digital download and a US 12-inch single. In the album’s single chronology, it sits after O Valencia! (2006) and before Always the Bridesmaid: Volume I (2008).
