The Green Leaves of Summer is a studio jazz album by American pianist Hampton Hawes. It was recorded on February 17, 1964, and released in early April 1964 on Contemporary Records. The album runs 39 minutes and 19 seconds and was produced by Lester Koenig. In Hawes’ discography, it follows For Real! (1961) and precedes Here and Now (1965).

AllMusic critic Scott Yanow notes that this was Hawes’ first recording after serving five years in prison, and sees him moving from Bud Powell‑influenced bop toward more modern jazz styles. The review recommends the album.
