The Golden Cage (1975) is an Australian drama about two Turkish migrants living in Australia. It was directed by Ayten Kuyululu, who also co-wrote the script with Ismet Soydan. The film was produced by Ilhan Kuyululu, who also acts in the movie, and stars Sait Misoglu, Ilhan Kuyululu, and Kate Sheil. Cinematography was by Russell Boyd, editing by Harold Lander, and music by Mary Vanderby. The production company was Independent Artists. The film was released in August 1975 and has a running time of 70 minutes. It is in English and Turkish.

The Golden Cage is notable for being the first Australian film directed by a woman since the 1930s. It was shot in March and April 1975 with support from the Australia Council’s Film, Radio and Television Board, which provided about $22,500. The film did not secure commercial distribution. Kuyululu later attempted to make The Battle of Broken Hill about the 1915 Battle of Broken Hill but could not obtain financing and returned to Turkey. Phillip Noyce worked as an assistant director on the movie.
