The Diary of Diana B.
The Diary of Diana B. is a 2019 biographical film directed by Dana Budisavljević. It tells the true story of Austrian humanitarian Diana Budisavljević, who during World War II organized aid for thousands of children—more than 10,000—rescued from camps in the Independent State of Croatia, mainly Orthodox Serbs. The film premiered at the Pula Film Festival in 2019 and won several Golden Arenas, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Editing, Best Music, plus the Audience Award. It is a Croatian-Slovenian-Serbian co-production with dialogue in Croatian and German, running 88 minutes. Cast includes Alma Prica, Biserka Ipša, Igor Samobor and Mirjana Karanović. The score is by Alan Sinkauz and Nenad Sinkauz. The project received Eurimages backing of 160,000 EUR under the working title The DB Campaign (Diana's List). The screenplay was written by Dana Budisavljević, with production by Hulahop, December Film and This and That Productions. Release date: July 18, 2019.
