Laurent Weill, sometimes written Laurant, is a French entrepreneur who helped start the country’s early microcomputer and video game scene and later created new interactive digital experiences. In 1983 he co-founded Loriciel with Marc Bayle, one of France’s first and leading PC game publishers. He helped create several companies, including Loriciel, Microids, Evolution, and Broderbund France. In 1994 he founded Visiware, becoming a world leader in interactive television, with activities such as PlayinStar, PlayAlong and LeStudio. In 2014 he started SYNC, a spin-off from Visiware that provides interactive second-screen platforms to enrich mobile experiences and advertising revenue. He invented and patented Sync2AD, a technology to synchronize mobile with TV and radio.
