The Count of Saint Elmo (Il Conte di Sant’Elmo) is a 1950 Italian historical adventure film directed by Guido Brignone. It stars Massimo Serato as the Count of Sant’Elmo, with Anna Maria Ferrero and Tino Buazzelli. Set in the 1860s during Italy’s unification, the story blends romance, action, and politics.

Plot
On a trip to perform in Naples, a famous opera singer is robbed by a band led by the Count of Sant’Elmo. She suspects the Count, who denies it, and later learns he actually leads the Carbonari, a group fighting for Italian unification, against the local police chief Baron Cassano.
