Thaana is a Unicode block that contains the characters of the Thaana script, used to write the Dhivehi language in the Maldives (and some Arabic texts there). It covers the range U+0780 to U+07BF in the Basic Multilingual Plane, for a total of 64 code points. Of these, 50 are assigned to Thaana and 14 are unused or reserved. The block was added in Unicode 3.0 (1999); Unicode 3.2 (2002) added one more character, increasing the assigned total to 50. Official code charts and related Unicode documentation are available for reference.
