State Route 342 is a short state highway in Hamblen County, eastern Tennessee. It runs about 7.5 miles and has been part of the state highway system since July 1, 1983; TDOT maintains it. The road starts inside Panther Creek State Park at the intersection of Panther Creek Park Road and Panther Creek Road, northwest of Morristown. It heads southeast to US 11E in Morristown, where it runs concurrently with US 11E for about 1.2 miles before reaching its end at the intersection with SR 160. The current eastern terminus is at US 11E / SR 160 in Morristown. The entire route is in Hamblen County. Previously, SR 342 used a different alignment that continued along SR 160 to SR 66, but that is no longer its path.
